His focus in on solid wood with hand tooled surfaces offering both tactile and visual pleasure.

The yearly production of pieces in the shop is limited. This ensures that each piece receives the appropriate attention to all details of design and construction. McDermott works with native and tropical hardwoods that are sustainably harvested.
